A major news outlet in Brazil says that Ricky did an interview in 1999 with a show called Fantastico during which he admitted to having lived through a great love affair three years before, in Brazil. “It happened at Carnival. It was a girl, a love story that made me crazy with her dancing…” he said. But according to whomever sent them these photographs, the affair was not with a girl but a 23 year-old young man named Andre Santos who was a percussionist in the Madureira School.

Ricky declared his love for Andres at a party at the Copacabana Palace and promised that the two would continue seeing each other after the trip was over, but as these long distance things are wont to do, it eventually fizzled out. Not before André traveled ten times to the U.S. to meet with his lover man, however, and snapped several photos. “When we traveled, we took separate limousines,” he says. Today Andre is married to a woman. Brokeback sad face.
